Best Thing I Saw: No alarms. We were on spring break this week and not having to see my alarm going off and flash it's chirpy red numbers at me was glorious. I've got one more day of no alarms tomorrow and then, sadly, it's back to work. (I'll take it though because if we never went, a break would never feel this wonderful!)
Best Thing I Did: Redecorated my living room. It's taken me three trips to Ikea and a few more to Home Goods and Pier One Imports but I've redone my living room space and I love it. My budget was $350 and I did it for $310. A new rug, a giant mirror, new curtains and new pillows and accent pieces. I'm in love!
Best Thing I Ate: Jelly beans. I over-indulged this week in a lot of different things so this was a tough choice. I think jelly beans were some of the most delicious treats of the week though. I like Jelly Belly and the natural flavors that are very similar from Trader Joe's. Yum. Yum. Yum.
Best Thing I Watched: Non-stop Bravo. My TV has been set on Bravo this week and it's been so hilarious to watch. Many of the shows are like watching a train-wreck — they are so bad but you can't look away. Serious guilty pleasure and I indulged big time this week. Hey, it was spring break!
Best Thing I Heard: "That was so nice of you, B!" My goddaughter thought it was so thoughtful of me today when I offered someone else at our lunch table a spoon when they needed it. It was such a simple gesture but she immediately told me how wonderful it was and sang my praises. It was so cute and thoughtful and reminded me of how kind and well-mannered she is for a little girl who is only 3. Love her!
Best Thing I Read: The Easter card from my parents. My parents are amazing people and even though I am 27 years old, I still get a card and present for Easter. They sort of rock. :) My card today was really sweet and I know they (okay, probably my mom) spent a decent amount of time in Hallmark picking out the perfect phrasing and pictures to match her feelings towards me. I, on the other hand, slacked off and made a card myself. I felt so bad. I guess (I hope) it's the thought that counts. They mean so much to me and I really need to do a better job of showing it on holidays.
